Product details

The GEL-Odyssey is a low profile, sleek and comfortable walking shoe. A Solyte midsole encapsulating both rearfoot and forefoot GEL units absorbs impact whilst medially placed DuoMax and a midfoot Trusstic provide a supportive platform during walking. An external heel protector and PHF in the rearfoot enhance fit whilst making the shoe more durable. Water resistant materials make this a great multipurpose off road walking option.

Product features

  • This Personal Heel Fit moulds and customizes itself to the individual heel shape of each wearer

  • ASICS High Abrasion Resistant rubber on the outersole. Helps cut down on excessive wear

  • A dual-density midsole system positioned to enhance support and stability

  • Longitudinal groove that decouples tooling along the line of progression for enhanced gait efficiency

  • Midsole material, lighter than ASICS standard EVA and SpEVA + improve cushioning & durability

  • Attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases, and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle.

Pronation Suitability

Neutral - Over Pronate

  1. Under
  2. Neutral
  3. Over
  4. Severe

Pronation is how a runner's foot rolls laterally between footfall and toe-off. Underpronation is when the foot rolls outwards, overpronation is when it rolls inwards, and a neutral pattern is when little rolling occurs.

Matching a shoe's properties with the runner's running style will increase comfort, running efficiency, and contribute to decreasing the risk of injury.
