ASICS are proud to present the GEL-Landreth 6. A low profile running shoe that has been built on a neutral but stable platform. The main feature for this update is the innovative new rearfoot Clutch Collar System, which creates a rearfoot fitting environment that wraps the heel securely and reduces the potential for irritation. This design solution begins by eliminating any type of heel counter and replacing it with an inner fit sleeve. The inner fit sleeve is lined with PHF memory foam on both sides and forms the heel collar.
To ensure that the inner fit sleeve remains locked around the heel the forward portion of the sleeve is attached to the first eyelet, forming a direct fit relationship with the lacing system. That is, if the laces are tightened so too is the Clutch Collar System. This proprietary fit system literally feels like the shoe is wrapping itself around the heel resulting in virtually no heel slip during running. The end result is unparalleled fit in the rearfoot that takes comfort to a new level.
