The ASICS GEL System is probably the most famous of all our innovations. To bring about the highest possible shock absorbing effect, the GEL-units are strategically placed in the midsole of the shoe. For the ASICS GEL cushioning system various materials are used. Depending on its function, the GEL-unit contains a siliconebased porous foam, a silicone GEL or a semi-solid silicone substance encapsulated in polyurethane. The shape of the units are also precisely designed to the specific function and position.

Lactic acid buildup has been reduced and also the contour of the laces are a very good contribution. not much i can find to fault it as ie obly worn these shoes for a short time. Asics AGAIN have proven to be a awsome shoe

The GEL-Nimbus has become, without doubt, the high achiever of the ASICS cushioning category. Consistent fit, super comfortable platform and a smooth ride all play a part in making it ASICS’ best selling neutral running shoe. The GELNimbus 12, packed full of new technical features, will not disappoint its fans. The most significant update to the Nimbus is the Guidance line; a vertical groove that extends from the heel to the forefoot. This line mirrors an ideal path from contact through to propulsion thereby making gait more consistent and efficient. The excellent ‘fit’ of the previous model has become even more customised with the addition of a Discreet Eyestay Lacing system to the already asymmetrically laced upper. The combination of these technologies evens out lacing tension across the top of the shoe, allowing the upper to better adapt to the shape of the foot. The Personal Heel Fit system, at the rear of the shoe, has also been modified and is now situated on both sides of the heel collar. The combination of these upper technologies aims to improve fit and comfort whilst dramatically reducing the potential for irritation. ASICS’ commitment to making sport a safer place for women continues in the Nimbus 12. The addition of +3, an aptly named Gender Specific technology, adds an extra 3mm of heel height in an effort to help relieve tension on the female Achilles tendon. This, combined with the Gender Trusstic and Gender Specific Cushioning seen in the previous model aims to make the Nimbus 12 one of the most advanced gender specific shoes ever.
