The GEL-Trabuco series is targeted towards runners who want a technical trail shoe without sacrificing the comfort of a road shoe. The GEL-Trabuco 13 delivers on both fronts with an all new tooling and an upper design that includes several component updates that take it another technical step forward.
Starting with an aggressive outsole designed to provide traction on even the most challenging trail surfaces, the pattern features aggressive lateral braking lugs, medial uphill lugs and a nylex forefoot plate for protection from stone bruises. The outsole also features a combination of durable AHAR Sponge rubber with Wet Grip; a sticky rubber compound for better traction. A midfoot Trusstic provides torsional rigidity and is covered by the outsole to prevent slipping.
Loyal followers of the Trabuco will also notice we have replaced the SpEVA midsole seen in previous models with a lighter and more responsive Solyte midsole. This new tooling is lower profile to get the foot closer to the ground for improved stability.
The new upper has been designed with a focus on support which has been accomplished by a functional logo where the stripes tie in to the lacing system to help secure the upper
around the midfoot. The eyelet construction also ties into the rearfoot overlays that extend over the heel counter thereby locking the upper securely around the entire foot.
