A TOUCH OF PINK FOR WOMEN IN LEAGUE
June, 2012
The sixth annual Harvey Norman Women in League Round – Round 16 of the Telstra Premiership – runs from June 22 - 25 and pays tribute to the tens of thousands of women who contribute to the game at all levels.
ASICS Australia have produced one off pairs of Pink Lethal Tigreor boots to mark the special occasion, which NRL Ambassadors will wear during their Round 16 games.
Superstar players such as Greg Inglis, Benji Marshall, Johnathan Thurston, Jamie Lyon & Nathan Hindmarsh will join a long list of leading NRL players who will wear the boots.
Selected players will then have the option to auction off their boots after the match in conjunction with their respected clubs, with funds going to a charity of their choice.
ASICS and their Ambassadors are proud to show support towards the initiative which celebrates the role women play in Rugby League. It’s also a chance for the game to say thank you to the many women who help build the foundations of the sport.
