THE HG10MM PHILOSOPHY

This groundbreaking piece of engineering has proven a huge success for ASICS over recent years. The HG10MM principle is there to get footballers in a better running position. Without it, there is more strain on the Achilles, calf’s, knees, hamstrings, hip and back. In 2010, every boot in our range contains the 10mm Heel Raise, which aims to make Footballers of all codes more comfortable and less prone to injury.

The Lethal Tigreor 3.
The main star for season 2010 is the all new Lethal Tigreor; which is in its 3rd generation guise.
This boot contains some defining development concepts to further enhance player comfort and safety.

The Outsole –
We have introduced Injected Solyte Polymer material to the all new outersole design which delivers an amazing weight reduction. We have managed to skim 30grams off the overall weight of this boot! (size 8.5 test).

The other major outersole change to the Tigreor 3 is the stud design and shape. The previous model used a cleat design, which worked fine for long blade grass, but we noticed in our testing a distinct disadvantage with the cleat in some types of grass.
Research told us smaller studs which are round in shape gave 2 great results:

1. There is more contact area on the ground; therefore better co efficiency with the surface.
   This delivers better grip and proprioceptive feedback to the wearer.
2. With smaller and rounder studs, change of direction is made easier through improved lift-off and release at propulsion.
   The outsole has also been wrapped over the HG10MM midsole to add further stability.

The Midsole –
Features two density Solyte. The outer rim of the midsole piece has a higher density, similar to the DuoMax midsole in our running shoes - which this provides extra stability for the wearer.

The Upper –
To top of this brilliant boot we have added Kangaroo leather to the vamp of the upper, as this is what footballers like to feel when kicking the ball.
The upper also has an internal brace system on the lateral side which is integrated with the lacing system. This holds the foot on the platform when high lateral strain occurs. Our unique Asymmetrical Lacing System provides a better fit over the foot. This again improves feel when kicking the ball.
