CRICKET PRODUCT PHILOSOPHY

The objective from day one for the development of the ASICS cricket shoe range was to deliver shoes that are built specifically for this global game rather than a re-vamped shoe from another sport. This tradition continues in the 2008/9 season.

The GEL-Advance 2 proudly shows off our Aussie colours, emphasising the fact that this development emanated from the Southern Hemisphere. The latest version of this model will again be the lightest possible spiked cricket shoe on the market.

The GEL-170 Not Out has been developed to give those who want extra protection and support in a cricket shoe. It has the same base as the popular GT-2130 running shoes with a midsole built to specifically support the different needs of the cricketer.

The GEL-8 For 64 bowling boot uses the same midsole/outsole as the GEL-170 Not Out, but the midsole is stabilised even further in the midfoot area of the shoe so it does not collapse. The forefoot features great flexibility, which is often lacking in the stiff outsole plates put onto cross trainers by some players for bowling. These stiff plates can causes extreme stress to areas of the foot. Not this shoe, it feels great in motion!

The GEL-Hardwicket 3 is radically designed to cater to hard wicket playing conditions experienced in Australia and New Zealand. The shoe has rubber cleats that grab the turf when fielding and herringbone grip at the heel and toe to help with grip on the hard pitch when bowling or batting.

Most of our high end shoes also come with a complete sets of stud options so the player can adapt the stud configuration to suit their own games requirements.
